Privacy Policy

Becomely — Effective July 23, 2026

Becomely ("the App", "we") helps you meet your future self through daily audio episodes, affirmations, and a vision board. This policy explains exactly what the App does with your information. The short version: no account, no ads, your writing stays encrypted, and we cannot read your backups.

Information You Provide

The App works without an account. Content you create is stored on your device: your first name (used for greetings), onboarding reflections, journal entries, vision board photos and text cards, and an optional voice recording.

AI-Generated Content

Your daily episodes, affirmations, cover art, and narration are created by AI. To generate them, short excerpts of the text you provide (for example, the future you describe and themes from your reflections) are sent through our server to AI providers such as OpenAI. These requests carry only a random, anonymous identifier — never your name, email, or account (there is none). The text is used solely to generate your content, and our providers do not use API data to train their models.

Your Voice

If you record your own voice for affirmations, the recording is stored only on your device. It is never uploaded.

Cloud Backup — End-to-End Encrypted

The App automatically backs up your journal, progress, settings, and vision board (including photos) so you can restore them if you switch or reset your device. Everything is encrypted on your device before upload, and the encryption key lives in your personal iCloud Keychain. Our servers store only ciphertext — we cannot read your backups. Content you delete in the App is removed from the backup on the next sync.

Purchases & Subscriptions

Purchases and auto-renewable subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment details. Apple may share anonymized purchase status with the App so it can unlock the features you bought.

Analytics & Diagnostics

We run no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as crash reports and download counts) through App Store Connect. These cannot be used to identify you.

Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data. The only services involved are Apple (App Store, iCloud Keychain), our sync server (stores encrypted backups only), and AI providers (receive anonymous text excerpts solely to generate your content).

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

You can delete any content in the App at any time; deletions propagate to the encrypted backup. Uninstalling the App removes all local data. For any privacy question or data request, contact us using the email below.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
